Modern Blacksmiths Still Need Traditional Supplies
Blacksmithing may seem a thing of the past. But Blacksmith Supplies knows that blacksmiths still have their place in the 21st century. Today, there are still those who create objects by forging or welding steel. You’ve got farriers who trim and shoe horses’ hooves. And then there are the tradesmen, artists, and hobbyists who work with wrought iron and other metals.
Some make functional items such as gates and fences or knives and other tools. And others combine blacksmith skills with artistic endeavours to create inspired sculptures. Or they make a trade by producing made-to-order wrought ironwork with extensive decoration. And of course, the tradition of the blacksmith’s forge sometimes is called for during historical re-enactments or on period movie sets. Blacksmiths really are still alive and well, and as you can see, it’s not all horseshoes!
